Guest Information & Terms of Stay

We are delighted to host you at Limuru Stay House. To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all
our guests, please review and observe the following terms and conditions.
Bonfire
– A designated bonfire space is available for resident guests at any time.
– Visitors of checked-in guests must leave the compound by 21:00 hrs.
– Guests must observe fire safety and keep flames contained. A fire extinguisher is provided on-site.
– Firewood is not provided. Guests may purchase firewood through resident staff.
Indoor Fireplace (Bungalow)
– The bungalow features an indoor chimney to keep the house warm and cosy.
– Guests staying for more than 4 nights receive 4 firelighters in their welcome pack.
– Additional firewood can be purchased through resident staff.
– The chimney guard must remain closed at all times. Use the fire extinguisher in emergencies.
Electricity & Backup Generator
– The bungalow has a backup generator for lighting only (security and indoor lights).
– The generator cannot power showers, water heaters, irons, or kettles.
– Rechargeable torches are provided in each room for blackouts.
– Management may turn off the generator during prolonged outages, after informing guests.
Gazebo / Outdoor Kitchen
– The gazebo kitchen can be hired without booking rooms. Enquire for details.
– Guests in the A-frame cottage automatically use the gazebo kitchen.
– Bungalow guests may use the gazebo kitchen at extra cost, subject to availability.
– Guests must observe fire safety and supervise children. Limuru Stay House is not liable for guest
property in the gazebo.
Patio Heater
– One gas cylinder is provided per booking during cold seasons.
– Chef services are not provided. Guests may arrange external chefs with prior approval.
– Management reserves the right to decline unprofessional chefs.
Airbeds
– Airbeds are available for extra guests and camping.
– Resident staff will assist with setup and inflation.
– Smoking on or near airbeds is strictly prohibited.
Heating & Electric Blankets
– Both bungalow and cottage provide under-blanket warmers during cold seasons.
– Guests must avoid sharp objects near electric blankets.
– Bungalow heating is available in lounge areas; staff support may be requested.
– The cottage has wall-mounted electric heating.
Neighbours & Noise
– Guests must keep noise and music at reasonable levels.
– Visitors are restricted to the designated compound only.
Washing Machine & Dishwasher
– Facilities are available in the bungalow and can be shared with the cottage by arrangement.
– Guests staying more than 4 nights are provided with washing tablets. Additional tablets available for
purchase.
Check-in & Check-out
– Check-in: From 12:00 noon
– Check-out: 10:00 – 11:00 am
– Early check-in and late check-out attract an additional hourly fee unless arranged in advance.
– Latest return to the property is 21:30 hrs unless prior arrangements are made.
Children & Play Areas
– Gardens are available for children and adults to enjoy.
– Parents/guardians must supervise children at all times.
Pets, Guard Dogs & Wildlife
– Guard dogs are present and may be dangerous if approached.
– A-frame cottage may decline pets. Dogs are released at 22:00 hrs.
– Wildlife such as monkeys and kites may be present. Secure food at all times.
Accommodation Capacity
– A-frame Cottage: Maximum of 2 guests.
– Bungalow: 3 bedrooms for up to 8 guests. Airbeds may extend capacity to 12 (family setting). Extra
charges apply after 8 guests.
Smoking & Alcohol
– Alcohol may be consumed responsibly.
– Smoking is prohibited indoors. Designated smoking areas are available.
Camping
– Camping tents accommodate 2 persons each in the garden.
– Campers may only use outdoor facilities unless otherwise arranged.
– A rechargeable torch is provided for campers.
Walks & Outdoor Activities
– Scenic plantation walks and cycling are available.
– Respect tea shrubs, boundaries, and nature.
– Plantation access: 06:30 – 17:00 hrs only.
